Mr. Kyle Kelly
Hello! I am Mr. Kelly. My upbringing was encompassed by athletics, education, and Catholic values. Following high school graduation, I attended Long Beach City College where the magnitude and value of erudition was illuminated. Through passion, dedication, effort, and time I graduated from California State University Long Beach where, in 2013, they conferred upon me a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. For over a decade I have dedicated my summers to lifeguarding and swim instructing for the Long Beach City College Summer Aquatics program. Here I enriched my passion for teaching and developed a strong interest in pursuing instruction at the professional level. Before teaching 5th grade at St. Bernard School in Bellflower I volunteered as a teacher’s assistant, occasionally substituted, co-directed the choir on a weekly basis, and conducted a successful summer-school math program for grades three through eight. This experience exposed me to a diversity of learners, as well as various educational paradigms. I currently attend Loyola Marymount University and am obtaining an MA in elementary education along with a California state teaching credential. God has blessed me with a boundless compassion for humanity, and revealed that any sort of meaningful, worthwhile, effective instruction requires a limitless dedication to education and genuine passion for pedagogy. I have learned that assisting people, especially the youth, with the proper development of their knowledge and critical thinking skills, is unquestionably among the most significant activities I could ever devote my being to. Moreover, fostering a strong moral foundation by imparting Catholic values, supports not just my passion and rational for teaching, but my spiritual faith and profound desire to positively transform society.
