About the Teacher

My Dear Parents and  Students,

It is indeed a blessing to have been brought to St. Bernard School.  I have a deep and faith-filled commitment in being a part of your child's educational and spiritual formation.

God has bestowed so much upon me.  I have a truly supportive husband and three adult children of whom I am immensely proud. After my youngest son graduates from college in about three years, we can all boast of being proud Cal. St. Fullerton alumni.

I have a Bachelor's Degree in history from CSUF.  In addition, I have done additional educational coursework at Chapman University and the University of San Diego.  I have a single subject teaching credential in social studies from the state of California.  Now that my children are grown, I am considering a Masters program.  As you may have guessed by now, it will most likely be in a history-related field.

I have numerous interests outside of the classroom.  I am a devoted Dodgers fan!  My husband and I belong to the Booster Club.  Yes, it is an obsession!  I also am an avid walker, along with my two German Shepherds, and I get to the gym twice a week.  I love to read anything about U. S. History and love to include seeing historical venues.  I was lucky enough to travel to Washington, D.C. when I taught 8th Grade, so I have many experiences to share. Lastly ,I thoroughly enjoy live theater, especially in downtown L. A., and any concert at the Hollywood Bowl, from classical to rock and roll.

Thank you for your warm welcome and may God grant you many blessings! I appreciate your comments and feedback, so please feel free to contact me by email and I will get back to you in a timely fashion.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Micki Wood
