About the Teacher

Mrs. Maria Vitale-Hassel

I am blessed to have been a part of St. Bernard School since the 2000-2001 school year. I love reading and feel most fortunate to be the Literature teacher for 6th-8th grade.  As the 8th grade homeroom teacher, I am able to enjoy teaching other subjects such as Religion, English, and Art. After earning my BA with a major in English as CSUDH, I continued my education at Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, and earned my MA in education, along with a California State Teaching Credential.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy reading, cooking, traveling, watching movies, and I especially love going to the theater to watch live performances.
