Practice schedules vary for each team, but in general practices are held from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m., three to four days a week. Exercise clothing  such as shorts, t-shirt, sneakers must be worn for after school sports.  Students are given practice and game schedules at the start of each season. Students unable to participate in PE may not play in after school sports.  Students absent from school may not participate in any after-school activity for that day. In addition in order for a student to participate in the school sports programs the student must be at good academic standing before starting and during the sport season.

For further information on sports, participation or inter-school competition, contact Athletic Director Michael Sutherlin at sbathleticdirector@gmail.com or call the Office.

Sponsorship

The Saint Sebastian Sports Project (SSSP) provides St. Bernard School with resources critical to building quality team sports programs. In addition, SSSP holds clinics to enhance coaching skills and hosts flag football, volleyball, basketball and soccer tournaments.  To expose students to college opportunities, SSSP has partnered with Loyola Marymount University to sponsor fun-packed sports days.  Finally, in 2017, SSSP hosted it’s first “Leadership Academy”  to help prepare outstanding eighth grade scholar-athletes for the transition to high school.    SSSP is changing lives, one game at a time.  www.saintsebastianproject.org
